How Program Match Scores Work

When you search for services, SRN automatically ranks Programs based on how well they match the client's information and search criteria. The goal is to bring the most relevant Programs to the top of the list while still allowing you to view all available options.

The match score considers factors such as the client's intake information, eligibility requirements, service categories, location, and search terms. Programs that appear higher in the results are generally a stronger match for the client's needs.

A higher score does not guarantee eligibility or acceptance into a Program. Case managers should always review Program details and use professional judgment before creating a referral.

Important: Match scores are relative rankings, not fixed values. There is no maximum possible score, and the same Program may receive different scores depending on the client information and search criteria entered.

Tips for Better Matches

  • Complete as much client information as possible.
  • Use accurate service categories and search terms.
  • Review Program eligibility requirements before sending a referral.
  • Consider Programs beyond the top result when appropriate.
